In the works...A new hymn/anthem for Bethany Theological Seminary's Centennial, Richmond, IN in 2005.ANGELS EVERYWHERE -a new musical with book by Frank Ramirez -music By Steve Engle -Lyrics by Ramirez and Engle Catherine Hummer was the first woman preacher in the Church of the Brethren. (Yes, even before Sarah Major.) As a young women she reported seeing angels, a phenomena that did not sit well with many elders and members. A special Annual Meeting was called to discuss the matter. Three performances are now scheduled for the fall of 2004 sponsored by the Church of the Brethren PA Middle District. A CD is also planned. |
